Now that it is officially 2018, you should be thinking about your New Year’s resolutions. Many people choose to improve their overall health through exercising. Since we are a pediatric dentist office, we want to share with you three resolutions that will keep your child’s teeth healthy.
Develop and Stick to a Brushing Routine- To help your child brush their teeth every day, you need to develop a routine that they can stick to every day. Many people find it easy to brush their teeth as soon as they wake up and right before they go to bed. By getting into a daily routine, your child is more likely to follow through with brushing every day.
Choose Healthier Snacks- You can help your child replace a sugary snack with a healthy one at least once a day. The less sugar your child eats, the healthier their teeth will be.
Flossing- This is a tricky task to complete every day, even for adults. However, if you teach your child at a young age, they are more likely to stick with it their entire life. If you need assistance explaining how to floss to your child, we can help you.
