Our Blog
It is a privilege that parents trust us with the dental care of their children, and we never take that for granted. We get to see children from all walks of life with a vast variety of dental concerns. It is very rewarding to see children turn their dental health and attitude toward dentistry from negative to positive. One of my greatest joys has been to treat the children of my former patients.
Education
Prior to becoming a Pediatric Dentist, I attained my Bachelor of Science Degree as well as my Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida. I then went on to complete my Pediatric Dental Residency at the Children's Medical Center of Dayton, Ohio.
Continuing Education
When I provide care for a child, I know that I am also providing peace of mind for their parents. In order to always give our patients the highest quality care at the utmost comfort, I must always have knowledge of the latest developments in my field. All of our dentists take frequent continuing education courses in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
In addition to these courses, I am also an active member of the following organizations:
- American Dental Association
- Florida Dental Association
- Northeast District Dental Association
- Clay County Dental Society
- American Society of Dentistry for Children
- American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
- Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry
In the Office
The children are honest, curious and eager to learn. After 29 years in practice in Orange Park, the kids I serve still keep me on my toes! They are full of surprises and require me to be upbeat and positive. They can tell how much we care about them. We get a lot of thank you pictures, notes and high fives.
I love spending my days with children, and enjoy working with caring individuals who also love spending time with kids. I really feel that we make a difference in the lives of our patients, and I know they make a difference in ours. I love being able to inform and educate the family to help them have a healthier life.
I feel really good that the children are treated in a state of the art dental facility that is safe, clean and is OSHA and HIPPA compliant. We have a cheerful office full of caring people. The decor is pleasant, but without a doubt the children like that each patient has their own TV in the ceiling. They can pick their own TV show and listen with headphones. We all get along great and have a common mission. We want to provide the best dental experience for the children.
Family Life
My wife and I live here in Orange Park, and have been a part of this community since 1981. We have three sons, two grandchildren and two dogs. In my spare time, I love spending time with my grandkids. When I’m not visiting them, I’m usually playing golf, fishing, reading, or following Florida Gator sports and the Tampa Bay Rays!
